Until the End

I am my own. Why
Should I have to
let you?
Love- what could the
reason be? I only
know who I am. I
suppose I'll never
know what you want.
Is it you, or merely
your idea? Your
warm
blistered
heart
Confuses me like nothing
else could ever.
I am not sure: if I'm
gaining knowledge or
weakness.
Am I still my own?
I don't know if you
are building me up-
more self-confidence-
or setting me on the
long, winding, torturous
path of self-destruction.
Oh, how I ache for you.
How I need you is

more than a mystery.
My desire burns fiercely,
engulfing my heart in
your
beautiful smile.
I've never loved another
more, but oh, how you
make me irate.
Too much trouble you've
caused me will make me
bound to you-
Until I find another.
Oh, how I ache for you.
