I want you to tell me everything,
For your sake, not mine.
When you're worried about something,
Don't just blow it off- give it to me.
When your whole world is about
To fall off your shoulders,
I'll help you carry the load.
When you see something that
Makes you smile
Or makes you laugh,
I hope you'll share it with me.
I want to feel all of your joy and
All of your pain with you,
When you feel them.
I don't want you to hand me your life
Wrapped up in a pretty bow
Or clothed in mystery.
I want you in your beautifully imperfect body,

With your unique stream of consciousness to match.
And when you do all of this,
And when you trust me enough
To let me take care of you,
Then I'll know that you love me.
