The Same

Frustration and anxiety are the main ingredients here
The phone is silent as the dead during a quarter moon
There are no explanations with acceptance pending
Because none have been offered
Anger is growing and resentment is quick to follow
It could be a lack of feelings on your part
Or merely irresponsibility
Maybe there's just no respect
Maybe I'm just stupid for overestimating you
Silly me, imagining you're a man, not a careless little boy
I know they are not one and the same
I know we are not one and the same
I know our brain waves are not identical

But I thought our love was for each other- not ourselves.
