Letter to the One

I know of your sweet impulsiveness
Your genuine caring heart
Your beautiful smile that
Lights up your entire face
I see your face- it is ever present and
Foremost in my mind
Your hands: how soft they are, how warm
Every night you appear in my dreams
Maybe I have invited you
Subconsciously, I suppose
I'm always glad to see you
You listen with such patience;
You talk to me with such eagerness
When we dance I feel so light and free
I know there must be magic in you
Pure, sweet, simple love
Radiating from your heart, your soul
I simply cannot live without you

Now if I could only recognize you
