Lately

Lately it seems as though
I have been at a loss for words
I have told you that I love you
I think it a million times a day
My heart feels complete,
As if your presence in my life
Has completed me
I wonder how this can be
How can we love like this
I have only known men
To mistreat me
Use me, lie, and scheme
And in the end break my heart
Leave me wounded, weaker than before
We are stronger than we have ever been
We grow closer with each passing day
I cannot begin to count the times
I have dreamed of you
Even before we met
And yet I had no idea
You even existed
I have heard that everything happens
For a reason
I met you to fall in love
You loved me back so
I would know true happiness
I have been at a loss for words
I have told you that I love you
I think it a million times a day
My heart feels complete,
As if your presence in my life
Has completed me
I wonder how this can be
How can we love like this
I have only known men
To mistreat me
Use me, lie, and scheme
And in the end break my heart
Leave me wounded, weaker than before
We are stronger than we have ever been
We grow closer with each passing day
I cannot begin to count the times
I have dreamed of you
Even before we met
And yet I had no idea
I have heard that everything happens
For a reason
I met you to fall in love
You loved me back so
I would know true happiness

Potter in a Harry
It's nice that you're writing, but you really should read Pablo Neruda and learn how to write love poems.
This is not poetry. This is just a few thoughts broken up by line breaks.
Now if you find that harsh? You'll never be a true poet.
If you can accept it? There's hope for you.
