If I could explain this to you,
Believe me, I would.
I cannot contain these thoughts and feelings
Any more than you can stop loving me

Always caring so much about every little thing
How can I give anything comparable?
I should not think like this-
We are equal,
But we are not.
I do not know if I can love you like that,
When everything you have to give
Is so fresh and new,
And I have been used already.
I cannot be sure that anything I have,
Anything I can give you,

That it has not been promised to someone before you.
Even if I wish so desperately that you were
