I Just Want to Scream

Washing clothes and eating crackers
I don't want to go anywhere
I am stuck here
Writing, writing, writing,
I am always getting addicted.
People, drugs, things, drinks,
Addicted.
Stonewall would have done better.
Or maybe not.
How the hell would I know?
Cats and meows
Loud thunder, quiet hunger
Scheme and dream
The American Machine.
