Last night I had a dream:
You and I were dancing together
On a cloud so soft and sweet.
We held each other close
And promised to never let go.
Suddenly I slipped from you embrace;
I don't understand how or why.
Maybe it was my fault,
Or maybe you let go too easily.
I started to fall:
Through the cloud and through the air,
Through you broken heart.
My arms, outstretched, ended with hands
Hoping desperately to find yours.
Instead they found nothing.
As I fell, I looked into your deep blue eyes,
And you said to me, "I still love you!"
Take me back up to your cloud now.
Hold me tighter this time.
You should have held me tighter.
Hold me.
