Loneliness is highly underrated.
It doesn't just last an hour
or a day or a week
It's always there, lying deep inside,
Hiding so slyly at the back
of your subconscious.
And your subconscious never goes away.
It's always announcing its presence
by telling you things
Like that you're never quite good enough,
that there isn't that special someone to
comfort you and tell you
You're perfect just the way you are,
Because all the ones you thought
were wonderful weren't.
