I know what will happen if I go with you.
I'll spend very night with you,
In your arms,
To wake up every morning with you laying beside me.
I'll listen to you breathe;
I'll watch your peaceful face.
When you have to get up and I don't,
You'll tuck the covers around me and
Kiss my face
Before you go to take your shower.
And when you get home from work,
We'll eat together,
And you'll teach me about football.
I'll listen to your laugh and feel the
Warmth of your presence.
You'll tell me that I'm beautiful,
And that you still can't believe that I actually came.
Me neither, I'll say, but
I'm so glad I did.
But then I'll fall in love with you,
And then I'll be vulnerable.
If you don't fall in love with me,
Or if you find someone else,
Then we won't wake up together.
It'll be hard to do this,
Just you and I,
But I think it would be harder to be apart.
And I'd have no one to protect me.
I'll spend very night with you,
In your arms,
To wake up every morning with you laying beside me.
I'll listen to you breathe;
I'll watch your peaceful face.
When you have to get up and I don't,
You'll tuck the covers around me and
Kiss my face
Before you go to take your shower.
And when you get home from work,
We'll eat together,
And you'll teach me about football.
I'll listen to your laugh and feel the
Warmth of your presence.
You'll tell me that I'm beautiful,
And that you still can't believe that I actually came.
