I never thought 17 days could feel like forever.
Sometimes a week would seem eternal
When that much time would pass
Before I could see you again.
I just wanted to be with you every minute.
Sometimes a half an hour would seem so long
While I was waiting for you to come back
Because you had to do something.
I just couldn't wait to hear your voice again.
Sometimes the day would seem so long,
When all I wanted was to go to sleep and
Dream of you.
The time we had together went by so fast.
It seems almost cruel to have fallen for you
So hard and so fast,
Because now I only have memories.
I wonder if these 17 days have been
As hard for you as they have been for me.
I wish I could turn back time
To 17 days ago
And change our whole conversation.
All I do anymore is think about you
And how empty I feel
Without you.
I still need you.
